Safeguarding
The safety of the people who live with us is our highest priority. The Pavillion Homes operates with a strong safeguarding culture designed to protect residents of all ages, including children, young people, adults and elderly people, from abuse, neglect, exploitation, harm and avoidable risks. Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility.
Our commitment
- Every member of staff completes safeguarding training, covering both children and adults at risk, with regular refreshers
- All staff are recruited through robust safer recruitment procedures, including enhanced DBS checks, references and full employment checks
- We maintain clear procedures for protecting residents, allegations against staff, missing persons, bullying, online safety and exploitation
- We work openly with local authority safeguarding teams, the police and other agencies whenever a concern is raised
- Residents are encouraged to speak, communicate and express concerns, knowing they will be listened to and taken seriously
How to raise a concern
If you are worried about the safety or wellbeing of anyone who lives with us, please contact us straight away on 01632 960 960 or at hello@pavillionhomes.co.uk. You do not need to be certain that something is wrong; it is always better to share a concern.
You can also contact your local authority safeguarding team (for the Doncaster area, Doncaster Council on 01302 737 777), the NSPCC on 0808 800 5000 for concerns about a child, or the relevant regulator. If anyone is in immediate danger, call 999.
Whistleblowing
Our staff are encouraged and protected to speak up about poor practice. Concerns can be raised internally at any level, and externally where needed.
